Kentucky Lands Alex Legion
April 24, 2007
Alex Legion, a 6 foot 4 shooting guard from Oak Hill Academy (Va.) is expected to sign his letter of intent to play for the University of Kentucky. This could come as soon as later today.
Legion previously was committed to Michigan, but sought and was granted a release after the hiring of their new coach John Beilein.
Scout.com ranks him as No. 33 in the country.
All this comes after Legion had a visit this past weekend. Early reports were that he came off very impressed, and was leaning toward UK.
Update: There was some confusion…He actually can’t sign a LOI because he had previously had one with Michigan. He has rather agreed/committed to play for UK.
