Patrick Patterson decision expected tommorrow

May 15, 2007

Patrick Patterson will make his decision tomorrow in Huntington at a press conference scheduled for around 3:45pm. This will end the long drawn out saga…finally.

It’s looking like it’s going to come down to just Kentucky and Florida. Will he be following his buddy Jai Lucas or will the possibility of coach Donovan leaving lead him to UK. (We all will soon find out)

Nothing solid has come out on leaks about the decision, just much speculation.

Michael Sanchez commits to Arkansas

May 15, 2007

Michael Sanchez (PF - Springdale (Ark.) Har-ber High School) has verbally committed to Arkansas. He is expected to make it official at a press conference today. Sanchez was scheduled to visit Kentucky next weekend.

So far that makes it 0-3, hopefully Patrick Patterson can be landed. (We’ll soon find out)

Lucas to Florida, Hamga to UNLV

May 14, 2007

We lost out on two recruits today.

Jai Lucas announced Florida as his choice of schools this afternoon.

I’m going to Florida because I felt it was the right place for me,” Lucas told ESPN.com. “I just felt that they had lost a lot and I can come in and play right away. They’ve got a great group of guys coming in with this class. I can help them at the point.”

Also coming out today was that Beas Hamga is going to UNLV. This is a little of a surprise as many had Kentucky favored. Then again, I wonder if all the recent rumblings in the past week had him change his mind.

For those that don’t know….Some crazed fans were causing problems by sending Hamga messages through Myspace etc. and he complained about it. People around him also didn’t like it and spoke their mind about the issue.

Note: You guys can’t be doing this. (Kentucky has to report these types of things) Please don’t make Kentucky the poster child and have the NCAA being fed up and coming down hard.

I know we want to get the best players out there we can, but we can’t be messaging and emailing recruits trying to persuade them etc.
