Kentucky vs Florida: Observations

We gave a very game effort and had our chances. Give credit to Florida for hitting big shots in OT.

Kentucky loses at Florida in OT 81-70
January 19, 2008
Florida’s win streak over Kentucky continues at seven with a 81-70 victory in OT.
Ramel Bradley led the way for the ‘Cats with 23 points, his sixth straight 20+ point performance. His three point shot with 2.5 seconds left sent the game into overtime.
I’ll have a game observation post later on.

Player Status
There’s no official word on the playing status of both Jodie Meeks and Derrick Jasper. The latest was that they both had a “Very, very limited practice” on Friday, according to coach Gillispie.

Kentucky Vs Florida Preview

Both teams are coming into this matchup with a loss. Kentucky lost at Mississippi State 69-64 on Tuesday. Florida lost a close one on the road at Mississippi 89-87.
This year’s game lacks the luster as years past. Kentucky has had a down year, but the ‘Cats always anticipate playing and beating Florida…so it’s no different this year. Read more
