Kentucky

The Wildcats look to make it three in a row and continue their chance at an at large bid for the NCAA Tournament.

Kentucky is coming off a 61-55 victory over Georgia on Tuesday.

Kentucky is 2nd in the SEC East with 8-3 conference record.

Arkansas

The Razorbacks come in winners in five of their last seven games, including Wednesday’s 87-61 beatdown of LSU.

Arkansas sits a comfortable 2nd in the SEC West at 7-4.

Preview Thoughts

It should be a great homecoming for former player John Pelphrey, who will return to Rupp for the first time as a head coach. He was a member of arguably one the most beloved Wildcat teams ever. I expect the fans to give him a heart felt welcome.

This game won’t be an easy one for the ‘Cats. It’s going to take an all-out productive effort to pull out the win.

It looks like Kentucky will again be without the services of Jodie Meeks. As it’s been in past games, the big three of Bradley, Crawford and Patterson need to have good showings. Any extra help would only make things easier.

We did a good job of limiting our turnovers against Georgia on Tuesday. We will need more of the same here in this game.

Keys:

  • Limit turnovers
  • Solid Defensive Effort
  • Shoot good FG%
  • Rebound on Both Ends

I look for a close hard fought battle with Kentucky winning at the end. It may very well well come down to free throws. Advantage: Kentucky
