March 16, 2008 - 8:30 pm

The waiting is over and Kentucky did make it into the NCAA Tournament with a seeding of 11. We will take on the 6 seed Marquette, a rematch from the 2003 NCAA Tournament.
This is the 17th Consecutive NCAA Bid for the ‘Cats
The Wildcats are in the South part of the bracket and will play on Thursday in Anaheim, Ca. Yes I know…California. A pretty good traveling distance for our fans.
Anyway… Looking at the matchups I think it’s not too bad for us. I think we are very capable of getting by Marquette. If we win, we would face the winner of the Stanford and Cornell game.
Here’ how the SEC bids broke down
- 2 Tennessee
- 4 Vanderbilt
- 8 Mississippi State
- 9 Arkansas
- 11 Kentucky
- 14 Georgia
