Kentucky

The ‘Cats are coming off a 58-54 victory over the Ole Miss Rebels on Wednesday.

Kentucky goes into Knoxville with the SEC lead, along with NCAA tournament hopes on the line. They will have to do it without freshman Patrick Patterson, who was lost for the season with a stress fracture in his left ankle.

After being ranked number 1 for the first time in school history. The Volunteers look to recover from it’s upset loss to the hands of the Vanderbilt Commodores this past Tuesday.

Tennessee also looks to avenge an earlier loss to the ‘Cats at Rupp back in January.

Preview Thoughts

After the loss of Patrick Patterson it’s going to be interesting to see how the team will respond. We will need some kind of effort from the likes of Stevenson, Stewart, Carter etc. Ramel Bradley and Joe Crawford can’t do everything, but I’m sure they’ll do their best.

I don’t know what coach Gillispie’s gameplan will be, but I expect he’ll have something up his sleeve.

The status of Jodie Meeks is uncertain at this point. If he’s able to play, that will be a huge help.
